Pretzel Buns

Directions
Ingredients
- Using a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, mix together warm water and yeast
- Add brown sugar, salt, and flour
- Knead on medium speed until dough is smooth and pulls away from sides (4-5 minutes)
- Cover and let rise for 10 minutes
- Divide dough into 12 even pieces and form 3-1/2 in round buns
- Mix together hot water and baking soda
- Dip entire roll into soda mixture
- After dipping slash the top 1/8 inch deep
- Lay on parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Sprinkle with Pretzel salt
- Bake at 375 for 12 minutes, brush tops with melted buter and serve immediately
- 1-1/2 cup warm water
- 1 Tablespoon active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups unbleached white flour
- 2 cups hot water
- 2 Tablespoons baking soda
- pretzel salt, for sprinkling
- melted butter, for brushing tops
